It's a mixed bag of emotions with less laughter and more tear-jerking moments.

Kapil Sharma, India's most popular comedian, speaks up about his life and journey in a way he's never done before! In his first-ever Netflix Comedy Special, Kapil Sharma style, he tells his poignant stories. From the liquid bravado behind his tweets to the sombre reality of making it in Mumbai, Kapil is pouring his heart out with a strong glug of comedy.
After entertaining the television audience for almost a decade, it was about time that Kapil Sharma brought his comedic chops to a global platform. The actor-comedian has a relatable brand of humour, as he speaks about topics that are rooted closely in the people of the country. A year after the stand-up special’s big announcement, Kapil Sharma: I'm Not Done Yet, has finally dropped on Netflix.
The 54-minute-long program promises a lot of laughter, and once you get into it, it’s also high on emotions. Sharma opens up previously unknown chapters of his life, like what he told his therapist while he was clinically depressed. The material is most personal, where Sharma speaks about his childhood, visiting Mumbai, his love story with his wife Ginni Chatrath, and finally making it big in the entertainment industry.
One of the standout moments is when Sharma talks about his controversial tweets, and the incident where he addressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the social media platform. As he narrates the incident, the tweets play back on the AV, making the whole deal even funnier.
Soon after, just like how serious the title sounds, I'm Not Done Yet, the show also takes an emotional turn. The man doesn't hide his true emotional side while opening up about the struggles of his professional life and mental health. Sharma seriously touches upon his mental health, which he says he is proud of doing.
Sharma penned the script for the stand-up special with Anukalp Goswami, his frequent collaborator on The Kapil Sharma Show. That's why the whole narration echoed the tone of the talk show that has been ruling the TRP charts for a fairly long time.
Along with his personal life, Sharma leaves no stone unturned in expressing his political opinions openly. Well, that is a perk of having this show on Netflix. He makes sure to name names and continues talking about them openly and unabashedly.
The audience also has some familiar faces, and Sharma also gets into an orchestra mode with his music troupe joining him on stage too.
One good aspect about Kapil Sharma: I'm Not Done Yet is that the comedian doesn't turn into a pretentious person while presenting his act. He stays true to who he is, and to be honest, that is something that will draw people to this special.
However, as mentioned earlier, it's better to not expect an out-and-out comedy from Sharma as he bares his heart, sometimes edging toward a slightly preachy mode. It's not every time a host gets a chance to put out his thoughts so openly and bare details that a lot of people (fans) are curious about.
Moreover, Sharma ends the show on a bittersweet note, which is something most unexpected for him. I assure you, it will warm the cockles of your heart.
Kapil Sharma: I'm Not Done Yet, is for a true blue Kapil Sharma fan who wishes to know everything about the comedian and actor. It's a mixed bag of emotions with less laughter and tear-jerking moments.
