Akhil (Mouli) joins a long-term coaching center to secure an engineering seat. He falls for Kathyayani (Shivani Nagaram) and proposes his love. At first, she does not encourage Akhil, but later falls for him. As in many films, the girl’s parents learn about their daughter’s love and impose restrictions. The rest of the story is about how Akhil makes things work and finally wins her love.
Little Hearts is backed by Aditya Haasan, the man behind the cult web series #90s, now streaming on OTTplay Premium. Directed by Sai Marthand, Little Hearts is a quirky love story that works primarily on its moments. On paper, the story offers nothing new, but the film is designed in a way that a few key characters evoke strong comedy, making it click big time.
Little Hearts was supposed to be an OTT release, but after the trailer received an excellent response, the makers opted for a theatrical release, creating decent hype. The film largely lives up to expectations, with hilarious comedy. Credit goes to director Sai Marthand’s writing, as he ensures comedy takes center stage, leaving hardly any dull moments.

The entire narrative unfolds through the hero’s eyes, and Mouli, the main lead, is a revelation. His dialogues, attitude, and comic timing are outstanding, setting the theater on fire. The conversations between the lead pair and the hero’s witty jokes stand out as highlights. The situational comedy involving the hero’s parents and the cute love story is executed well.
Little Hearts is set in the early social media era, when Facebook had just started gaining popularity. The film showcases how youth connected online, their conversations, and how middle-class parents dealt with this new culture. While it does not feature twists or heavy conflict, the way the love story builds toward its midpoint with hilarious moments is quite cool.

The second half continues the fun with more situational comedy, and the ending is handled well. The decision to release the film in theaters proves right, as the jokes and emotions work much better on the big screen. The camaraderie between the hero and his friends, the self-deprecating humor, and the playful banter with the heroine all land perfectly.
In terms of performances, Shivani Nagaram of Ambajipeta Marriage Band fame shines in her role. As the elder love interest, she delivers a sincere performance, blending charm with natural acting. Rajeev Kanakala also stands out, and the comedy woven around his role is well executed. Anitha, Sathya Krishna, and others contribute effectively. The actor who played the hero's friend is hilarious with his comedy punches.

However, it is Mouli who steals the show. Known for his memes and YouTube videos, the young actor is the heart and soul of Little Hearts. With his screen presence, dialogue delivery, and unique ability to joke about himself, Mouli proves he is a talent to watch. A song he composes and performs in the film earns the loudest cheers in theaters.
The production values are solid, with the visuals of Secunderabad adding richness. The dialogues are another major highlight as they are contemporary, witty, and consistently engaging. Every punchline lands well, ensuring the film strikes a chord with audiences. Though not groundbreaking in story, Little Hearts delivers hearty laughs, making it a good theatrical watch.
On the whole, Little Hearts is a film that generates non-stop entertainment. Though it lacks a strong storyline, it thrives on its comedy, delivering in a big way. If you enjoyed Jathi Ratnalu, Little Hearts falls into the same genre and makes for a fun-filled, time-pass entertainer.
