Story:

The new episode shows Gu missing Mi-jeong and yelling her name while she is seen dealing with the breakup her own way. Chang-hee decides to take a break. The siblings lose their mother and they decide to move to Seoul while their father stays back in Sanpo.

Review:

The episode begins with Gu who is back to running his shady business. He is seen threatening people who did not pay their dues. It shows completely opposite side of Gu. The one who was calm and composed in Sanpo, has turned into a hothead and shady person in Seoul. He admits that he misses Mi-jeong. While Mi-jeong tries to cope with the heartbreak too. She appears to be happy and also wins the design contest but feels lonely.

Chang-hee is scared to inform his parents that he has quit his job and when Gi-jeong reveals it as they drive to the field in their van ahead of them, Chang-hee runs back home. He then sees that his parents have heard it but leave him anyway. The way he quickly changes and gets into bed for a nap, saying that he will anyway later turn into dead meat is cute and funny.

The car chase by the Yeom family, as Chang-hee encourages his father to drive, is also an interesting scene. His father is seen focussing all his anger on driving really fast and beating their competitors who have had better yield at the farm, next to theirs. One would imagine that they would beat them but they end up going off-road and the van topples over, metaphorically showing that the anger gets one nowhere. As Chang-hee gets beaten up by his mother for encouraging his father to drive faster, his father, on the other hand, is seen instead picking up the sweet potatoes that have fallen off the vehicle.

The episode takes an unexpected turn. The show bids farewell to Mi-jeong's mother in a thoughtful and right way. She is seen cribbing about her life, which is all about cooking meals for her family endlessly. Even the children do not help her. She complains about working in the field, factory and then at home as well and how no one appreciates what she does. She says she used to get rest at least one time a day when her husband used to take her out for lunch once a week and now, he doesn't even do that. She is then seen having lunch on her own at the restaurant Gi-jeong goes on a date with Tae-hun. She insists to see him once, promising that she would not bother and leave them alone. Gi-jeong gives in and agrees. But her mother gets too excited and walks up to their table and tells Tae-hun that she has ordered some food for them and paid for it already. She is seen all smiles, probably for the first time in the show as well. She is then seen happily strolling in the market until she learns that Mi-jeong had a meltdown in the market a month ago, when Gu had left.

Gu is then seen returning to Sanpo, missing Mi-jeong. He admits that he misses her even though he is the one to break up and never to keep ties with her. He even changes his phone number. The scene where he goes to the station and somehow Mi-jeong realises that he is waiting for her, only later accepts that he is not is cute. For a moment, it might seem over the top but later you realise that they are two different scenes juxtaposed for a deja vu vibe.

The structure of the episode is well construed as it holds the attention of the audience. Despite the slow pace, it still is engaging and makes you curious to find out what happens next, especially when Gu reaches outside the train station and waits for Mi-jeong. He later reaches Sanpo and finds a stranger coming out of Yeom family's house. He meets Yeom and the way he looks around in the house for Mi-jeong is adorable but he finds the rooms all empty, only loaded with a few storage stuff.

Verdict:

The show takes an unexpected turn with Mi-jeong's mother dying. The three siblings then move to Seoul and Gu gets Mi-jeong's number. Will the two lovers reunite is what needs to be seen.
