Perfect Family Story: Perfect Family is a drama series about a seemingly perfect Indian family that is forced to attend therapy after an incident involving their daughter, Daani.

Perfect Family Review

Several series and movies have been made that highlight the imperfections of an Indian family, and through these series or movies, the makers tried to come up with a possible solution that can change the perspective of society. Recently, we had a Netflix film, Greater Kalesh, that showcased the story of a messed-up Indian family, but how proper communication made them reconnect. Likewise, the Pankaj Tripathi-produced series, Perfect Family, also highlights the imperfections that Indian families have normalized for generations, but no one dared to change the perspective because of 'what will society think?"

Perfect Family is the story of Karkaria. An everyday Indian family, managed by the 'father' of the house. The son, Vishnu (Gulshan Devaiah), is a corporate worker, while his wife (Girija Oak) is a housewife. They have a daughter, Daani, and a son. Point to be noted, the wife left her editing job after marriage, which clearly highlights how thousands of women leave their jobs after they get settled because their husbands say, "What will you do with the job? Am I not enough?" Obviously, it's the man's ego that works supremely in Indian households. This is the very reason why women choose to stay single rather than get married and lose their jobs. Also point to be noted, not every man is like that, but most of them are.

The Karkaria family never stops arguing, and the in-laws have problems with Vishnu's wife wanting to stay separately. Manoj Pahwa and Seema Pahwa play the heads of the Karkaria family, parents of Vishnu. They do not want their son to go to Dubai, just like how an ordinary Indian family reacts. They believe in living together as a family. Manoj is a toxic father who unintentionally hurts his children and thinks they won't mind. As they continue arguing, Vishnu's daughter, Daani, gets an anxiety attack in school, and hence, the family is advised to do therapy session. Neha Dhupia plays a therapist who extricates all the flaws of the family and tries to balance their life.
