Story:

Bhuvan Bam is back on the screen but this time in a rom-com. The story follows the narrative of a couple who even being in love, get to marry each other unwillingly and find each in fights every now and then.

Review:

Rafta Rafta begins with Bhuvan Bam's Karan, who is a manchild and likes to throw tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants. He loses his game joystick and starts screaming in the every room of his house, which is when his wife Nithya, played by Srishti Ganguli Rindani, comes to his rescue.

The seven-episodic comedy series goes on like a sitcom. The chronology of their tale keeps moving forward and they come across new issues in each episode. The two have to constantly fight in order to keep going. In the beginning, the show doesn't reveal why there are plenty of sweet but no intimate moments between a newly married couple but there is a reason and you'll be surprised to learn that.

The first few episodes focus on how Karan and Nithya as a newly married couple try to tackle their annoying yet adorable neighbours. They also try to get to know each other's families up close.

Towards the final episode, Bhuvan Bam's show reveals the truth behind the bittersweet relationship of this newly married couple. The story takes us to the past and displays that Karan and Nithya, who were work buddies soon start developing feelings for each other. However, when the man tries to ask her out, the girl tells him that how she is not ready for a serious relationship. Their friendship goes on normally, until one fine day they accept their feelings for each other. However, due to their carelessness, they end up in an embarrassing situation and end up getting married to each other unwillingly. However, in the end, they both evolve in their relationship and find immense love for each other.

Bhuvan makes us gasp with his drastic change from the adorable man-child to a mature, responsible and understanding man. Srishti on the other hand turns more loving and caring as the show moves forward.

Rafta Rafta showcases multiple funny instances in the series that make you giggle. There are cute and adorable arguments between the duo too. In short, the series ensures you smile, if not let out a laugh.

The writers do not stretch the show so that it turns overly dramatic or very hilarious. Instead, they keep a subtle amount of romance and comedy.

Verdict:

Bhuvan Bam and Srishti Ganguli Rindani's good performance in the beautifully choreographed rom-com ought to be watched once.
