Jennifer Winget and Karan Wahi charmed everyone as Dr. Riddhima and Dr. Siddhant in their hit television show, Dill Mill Gayye. Almost 15 years later, the two actors have reunited for a web series titled Raisinghani v/s Raisinghani. Directed by Aniruddha Rajderkar, the first three episodes of this web show have been released on SonyLIV. Before you make up your mind about watching Raisinghani v/s Raisinghani, check OTTplay's review below:

Raisinghani v/s Raisinghani review:

For starters, Raisinghani v/s Raisinghani revolves around the family dynamics and the Raisinghani Legal firm of Rajdeep Raisinghani (Sanjay Nath), a reputed criminal lawyer, and his daughter Anushka Raisinghani, a sharp-witted and honest young lawyer. The first three episodes of Raisinghani v/s Raisinghani focus on Rajdeep trying to work on actress Jia Chatterjee's case, who is accused of murdering her boyfriend Sumer Bundela. The twist in the tale comes when Rajdeep meets with an accident and now it's on his daughter Anushka to take the case ahead while trying hard to get rid of the 'nepotism' tag.

While the mood of courtroom drama is set, an 'outsider', Virat Choudhary (Karan Wahi), considered to be the rightful successor of Raisinghani Legal, adds a different touch to the storyline. His past with Anushka is not explored much, but their chemistry is on fire. On the other hand, there's a young intern, Ankita Pandey (Reem Shaikh), who secures an articleship at the firm.

At first glance, Raisinghani v/s Raisnghani comes across as a simple courtroom drama. But there's more to this than meets the eye. The storyline is complex and hence the pace of the show seems slow. Moreover, the 'insider vs. outsider' debate is highlighted a bit too much and that is something that the makers should avoid in the coming episodes. Some dialogues, too, sound cliché. In the process of showcasing the past and present scenarios, the true essence of Raisinghani v/s Raisinghani—that of being a courtroom drama—gets lost.

Having said that, what works in Aniruddha Rajderkar's web series is the crackling chemistry between Jennifer and Karan as Anushka and Virat. We wonder if their names were inspired by the real-life couple. Anyway, coming back to the series, Jennifer and Karan have reignited their old spark in Raisinghani v/s Raisinghani and it stands as a major highlight. Jennifer is the perfect choice for Anushka. Her poise and elegance make her character likeable. It's refreshing to see Karan in a role that is different from the ones he has played before. Reem Shaikh keeps the curiosity alive around her character, Ankita Pandey. Another good thing about this OTT show is the runtime of each episode (35-38 minutes).

Raisinghani v/s Raisinghani verdict:

As lawyers, Jennifer Winget and Karan Wahi bring their celebrated spark back in Raisinghani v/s Raisinghani. But is their chemistry all that this show has to offer? No, a lot is happening in Anushka and Virat's world at Raisinghani Legal, which is bound to keep you glued to the screen.
