Sarkeet Review: Through Sarkeet, director Thamar takes the audience on a journey of friendship and self-discovery, which is complemented by the key actors' nuanced performances. The story's main themes of evolving familial relationships make the characters and their lives appear relevant to viewers even when the story is taking place in the UAE.

In the middle of their hectic life, Balu and Stephy are struggling to look after their only child, Jeffron, also known as Jeppu. Jeppu's hyperactivity and ADHD cause the couple to be distressed, leading to tension in their marriage. Ameer struggles with unemployment in the interim and has to work odd jobs to make ends meet. Their lives become entangled as Ameer's circumstances force him to make a terrible choice. The premise of the movie revolves around Ameer's attempts to end his misery and how his friendship with Jeppu permanently changes their lives.

The movie is a feel-good drama, as its posters and trailer indicate, and the 1001 Nunakal director undoubtedly makes viewers reminisce about some of the older Malayalam films that are set in Gulf countries. It depicts the emotional distress of working parents who struggle to find time for their kids, as well as the hardship of youngsters who are having difficulty finding a job even with enough qualifications. Without resorting to gimmicks, the makers have also accurately depicted the challenges in a nuclear family where parents have to strive to understand their child.

Asif Ali excels in the role of Ameer, giving a convincing performance that does everything possible to make the viewer weep. The Thalavan star's portrayal of the character is likely to touch people's hearts with his desperate yet optimistic view of life. The despair of a father who is having difficulty striking a balance between his personal and professional lives is depicted by Deepak Parambol in a compelling manner. As an understanding mother, Divya Prabha does an impressive performance as well. Orhan Hyder deserves praise for his portrayal of Jeppu.

Even in the most dire moments, Sarkeet remains committed to capturing the goodness in people. The film has some beautiful panoramas, and Govind Vasantha's music gives it just the adequate amount of emotion. The director gives the audience a decent feel-good film in spite of the minor shortcomings.

Sarkeet Verdict: With its story of an unexpected friendship and shifting parental relationships in nuclear families, the Asif Ali starrer will resonate with the audience. The Rekhachithram actor's solid performance is sure to impress the crowd.
