Sri Sri Sri Rajavaru Story

Raja (Narne Nithin) is from the small town of Atreyapuram and is a chain smoker. He falls in love with Anitya (Sampada Hulivana), but his love story takes various twists and turns, and on top of that, his smoking habit creates a wide range of issues for Raja, including with his father. The rest of the story is about how Raja takes things into his own hands, corrects his mistakes, and wins his love back.

Sri Sri Sri Rajavaru Review

Sri Sri Sri Rajavaru is written and directed by Satish Vegesna, who made the super hit film Shatamanam Bhavati with Sharwanand. Sri Sri Sri Rajavaru has been in the making for a long time, and the makers finally released it on a low-key note. The hero, Narne Nithin, has stayed away from the film and did not promote it one bit. One can easily understand why he didn’t promote it, as the film is preachy, old school, and boring to the core.

Firstly, Sri Sri Sri Rajavaru has a very simple premise of a chain smoker losing everything around him due to his habits. How this basic concept is dragged for no reason is one of the biggest drawbacks of the film. Sri Sri Sri Rajavaru is one of the most predictable films in recent times and does not have anything new to offer. It is slow-paced, old school, and preachy to the core. Every character in the film becomes a moral science teacher and mouths dialogue as if there’s no tomorrow.

Satish Vegesna, the director, seems stuck in the late '90s and narrates the film in an outdated manner. His films usually have a decent emotional thread, but here in Sri Sri Sri Rajavaru, things are out of hand as the emotional thread is weak and does not create any interest whatsoever.

Yet another drawback is the role of Rao Ramesh. We have seen him play the strict father role in hundreds of films, and the same happens in Sri Sri Sri Rajavaru as well.

Coming to the performances, Narne Nithin is good in the film. Though the film was shot years ago, he is solid in all the action sequences and carries the film on his shoulders. But as the narrative is so jarring, he, too, cannot salvage the film from sinking after a point.

Senior actor Naresh is good in his role, but it is Nellore Sudhakar who stands out. His comedy evokes decent laughs and has moments that feel enjoyable. But that, too, is not consistent, as the narrative jumps from one scenario to another.

Director Satish Vegesna clearly belongs to the bygone era where such family dramas used to click big time. But with Sri Sri Sri Rajavaru, he has once again failed as a director and bores the audience.

Damu Narravula's camerawork is passable, but the way he lit up the fight sequences was quite good on screen. Kailash Menon’s music is just about okay, but his background score feels over the top. The editing is one of the biggest drawbacks, and close to 15 minutes should have been chopped off to make the film bearable.

Narne Nithin has scored big hits with Aay and MAD 2. At such a time, his old film Sri Sri Sri Rajavaru releases to dull talk and fails to entertain whatsoever.

Sri Sri Sri Rajavaru Verdict

On the whole, Sri Sri Sri Rajavaru is an old-school family drama that has nothing going its way. Barring Narne Nithin and his sincere act, the film has nothing new to offer. Watch it when it lands on OTT.
