Story: A five-star hotel employee strikes up an ‘interesting’ relationship with a guest and her minor daughter. As things get more serious between them, he realizes that something is amiss and tries to rectify it. Does he succeed?

Review: Why? That’s the question I have for everyone involved with this film, right from director Nagashekar to actors Darling Krishna, Bhavana, Achyuth Kumar, Dattanna and Rishab Shetty. Just why was this film made and what were the actors thinking being a part of this? Rishab, really? This was the most yawn-inducing two hours-odd spent in a movie hall.

Krishna plays a five-star hotel waiter, to whom a young child takes a fancy, to the extent that she calls him ‘papa’. The mother, Bhavana, who is a single parent, bribes him to indulge the child. What begins as a favour-for-money-routine takes on a more serious note, when they develop feelings for each other. But it’s not that simple, so, in comes a twist in the tale. A recap of the story also feels like a bit of torture, so, we shall lay it to rest here.

An uninspiring tale, with lackluster performances and a lead pair that have no chemistry whatsoever – not even in the song Kudi Notada; that just about sums up the film. Bhavana’s reaction, or rather lack of it, during the only action sequence in the film is also quite something; that whole scenario, including the scene preceding it, made no sense. But then, neither does the climax. What is with this obsession that a married woman has to ‘stay’ with the husband and not exercise her choices? Ever heard of free will? Why is it anybody else’s business whether a couple should stay together or not? Even the film's supposed happy ending does not justify prior events.

Verdict: srikrishna@gmail.com can be given a miss. There’s just nothing in it that can be recommended for a viewing. If you like the songs, you can always watch them on Youtube.
