Story:

Noor (Aastha Ssidana), Punni (Apoorva Arora), Amrit (Poppy Jabbal) and Lovelle (Sukhmani Sadana) continue exploring life in Mumbai. They are still trying to find their rich partner in this world where fakeness rules.

Review:

Udan Patolas season 2 begins where the previous one left off. The four girls Noor (Aastha Ssidana), Punni (Apoorva Arora), Amrit (Poppy Jabbal) and Lovelle (Sukhmani Sadana) are back - trying to fit in with the top industrialists and sportspeople.

Like the last time, what the makers think funny, is plain disgusting and toxic. One example of that is the women getting jealous of foreigners.

Sukhmani Sadana's Lovelle is the centre of attention this time but like the last time, Aastha Ssidana's Noor takes the cake every single time. Apoorva Arora’s Punni comes a close second.

Akshit Brar's Shiv Suri is introduced this time around. He is a character who leaves little to impress. On the other hand, Joanna's Gabriel is someone to look out for. She is like the girls but better than them (a worse person but better actor).

Shraddha Pandey's Jasmine is the only character who stays true to her identity this time around, making her the most desirable on the show. The funny part is Amrit's boyfriend Akaash believes her girl friends Noor, Punni and Lovelle are genuine and have zero pretence. Only if he knew the reality and how hard these wannabes try to fit in and make it big by banking on every available guy's shoulder. Yeah, a story about women like that exists in today's times. Women are a part of this story, in a time when we have learnt to break free and be independent after all the struggle. What do these women do? Dig gold from every place possible just because they have a background of 'small-town girls.' Should you pity them or support them? You decide.

The makers haven't even taken the efforts to change the visuals in the theme song. It is from the last season, where our three girls had different boyfriends - who just don't exist this time. This would have been a small effort but not doing even that shows how little this series matters to even the makers. We mean, how do you expect your viewer to follow a story when you aren't clear about it yourself?

Despite everything, the show has its cute moments. The friendship and girls celebrating with ring-a-ring-a-roses will take you back to childhood and also hint at how strong their bond is because it is so old.

Noor's emotional moments towards the end take the series to a whole new level. The scene wraps up the show more beautifully than the whole story up to that point.

Verdict:

Season 2 of Udan Patolas is an upgrade for sure. After seeing one, you know this is a toxic world where the girls have no sense of independence or self-confidence. All they care about is finding the richest guy to marry. Fortunately, there are very little but moments of genuine emotions this time and that is what make this season better.
