Boardwalk Empire

Boardwalk Empire is a 2010 American period-drama T.V. series, created by Terence Winter. This show follows the story of Enoch "Nucky" Thompson, a political figure in Atlantic city and his life. Nucky is a treasurer and has relations with the mafia, politicians and the government itself. Set in the time period of 1920’s and 30’s, Nucky is very powerful and people look up to him. As the story progresses, the federal government takes a keen interest in his life and further investigate his bondings with the mob and politicians. The show runs for five seasons, and takes place around 1931. The show received positive reviews for it’s writing and exceptional drama. The series also won the Best New Series award at the Writers Guild of America Award.
