Into the Badlands

Described as "a high-octane sci-fi martial arts series" and as a "post-apocalyptic drama" this American series, Into the Badlands, was created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, under the genre of action, adventure, and drama. This three-season show comprises 32 episodes that follow a young boy and a warrior, both of whom struggle through a dangerous feudal land, seeking enlightenment. The series is roughly based on Journey to the West, a classic Chinese tale. Aramis Knight as a teenage boy and Daniel Wu as Sunny play the lead roles in this series. Mixed and average reviews were received throughout the show from the critics and appraisals towards martial art sequences.
