Thappad

Thappad is a Hindi language film created by Anubhav Sinha and written by Mrunmayee Lagoo Waikul under T-series in 2020. The film won many awards including Best Film, Best Story, Best Actress at Filmfare Awards in 2021. The cast of the film includes Taapsee Pannu, Pavali Gulati, Maya Sarao, and Dia Mirza.

The story began with Amrita Sandhu, a young happy couple. Amrita is a homemaker and spends most of her time taking care of her husband and his house. One day, while they were celebrating with her husband an argument, took place where he slapped her. That one slap changed her whole life.
