Based on the Japanese manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Kazushi Hagiwara, BASTARD‼ -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy is a Japanese sci-fi action adventure anime series that follows the Kingdom of Meta-llicana as they call upon a volatile dark wizard for help when sinister forces attempt to resurrect Anthrasax, the God of Destruction. The series features voice acting performances from Kisho Taniyama, Tomori Kusunoki, Hiroki Yasumoto, Yoko Hikasa, Kanae Ito, Tomokazu Sugita, Kensho Ono, and Nao Toyama.
