Hometown

The series opens in 1999 with Choi Hyung In, who works as an investigator. He is still grappling with his wife's death that occurred in a terrorist attack more than a decade ago. He is assigned a new murder case, in which he starts to locate connections to the terrorist attack that cost his wife's life. The series portrays an elaborate backstory examining how the wife, Jo Jung Hyun, got inadvertently linked up with the terrorists who plan sarin gas attacks at train stations, how she tried to rebuild her life and her ultimate act of going missing. Yoo Jae Myung essays the central male detective dealing with grief and investigating hidden connections between the murders and his own past, while Han Ye Ri plays the missing wife. Park Hyun Suk has directed the series, with Joo Jin serving as the writer on this twelve episode mystery show.
