Serving as a midquel to the 2001 film Monsters, Inc. franchise, the animated film trails Tylor Tuskmon, a mechanic who aspires to make his way up the Laugh Floor at Monsters Inc. Except for the first and tenth episodes, each concludes with a mini-segment titled "Mike's Comedy Class" where he teaches about monsters and their many attributes.
