Narrated by renowned biologist Sir David Attenborough, the five-part nature documentary television series is about the Mesozoic Era, when massive, breathtaking dinosaurs and other astonishing creatures roamed the planet. The series is produced by BCC Studios Natural History Unit, with visual effects by Moving Picture Company. Actor and filmmaker Jon Favreau serves as the showrunner. The original score is composed by Kara Talve, Anže Rozman, and Grammy-winner Hans Zimmer. Attenborough has earlier collaborated with BBC on the natural history documentary series, The Life Collection.
