Kirstie Swain developed the dark comedic drama television series Sweetpea for Sky Atlantic where Ella Purnell plays the lead in this adaption of CJ Skuse's book of the same name. The show focused on Rhiannon, who left a bullying-filled upbringing to live a quiet life with her father and dog as an administrative assistant at a small newspaper. But all changes when she meets a stranger by happenstance after her father passes away.
