 The series revolves around a defence lawyer, Ingrid, grappling with the shadow of her past decisions. John, whom she had defended in a case of stalking, returns to her life, She gets drawn to a relationship with him but when she tries to break it off, John refuses to exit, obsessively trailing her and re-igniting an old set of traumas. Emma Appleton, best known for Everything I Know About Love, stars as Ingrid and Colin Morgan the stalker. Zara Hayes and Chanya Button have directed the series that is an adaptation of Jane Casey's eponymous bestseller.
