The Patient

Alexander Strauss is a psychotherapist who recently lost his wife. As the story unfolds, he is held captive by a patient, who is a serial killer seeking therapeutic help to curb his homicidal tendencies. Created by Joel Fields and Joe Weisberg for FX, the psychological thriller drama series is written by the duo. Starring Steve Carell as Alexander Strauss in the lead along with Domhnall Gleeson as Sam Fortner, the rest of the cast include Linda Emond, Laura Niemi, Andrew Leeds, Alex Rich and David Alan Grier, among others. Joel Fields, Joe Weisberg, Steve Carell, Caroline Moore, Victor Hsu and Chris Long serve as the executive producers for this limited series.
