Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty

 The HBO original series created by Max Borenstein and Jim Hecht tells the true story of one of the greatest sporting dynasties in history - the NBA basketball team, the 80s Los Angeles Lakers. John C Reilly essays the role of Jerry Buss, the owner of the Lakers, while Quincy Isaiah portrays the legendary Magic Johnson and Solomon Hughe takes on the role of another legend, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Jason Clarke and Adrien Brody essay other important roles alongside Jason Segel and Gaby Hoffmann. The series is dramatised version of the rise and eventual dominance of the Lakers from the early 80s. Adam McKay has directed the pilot for the series.
