Dixie Dean, the Everton legend, tops the charts with 6 goals scored in just two Community Shield appearances. He helped Everton win the 1928 Community Shield with a brace. Then, in the 1932/33 Community Shield match, his four goals helped Everton beat Newcastle United 5-3 at St James' Park.
Dean finished his career with 230 goals in just 217 matches, all for Everton.

Matching Dixie Dean with six goals, Harold Halse achieved this feat in only one Community Shield match. Playing as a striker for Manchester United, Halse scored six goals against Swindon Town as the Red Devils won the title by 8-4.
Halse is the only player to score more than four goals in a single Community Shield match. By the way, at that time, the Community Shield was called the FA Charity Shield.

The charismatic Frenchman Eric Cantona showcased his genius in the FA Community Shield with five goals across four appearances for two different clubs.
Cantona first played in the Community Shield in the 1992 season and scored a hat-trick for Leeds United to beat Liverpool by 4-3.
He then played the rest of his three Community Shield games for his beloved Manchester United.
Midfielder Claude Ashton scored four goals across 4 Community Shield games, representing two clubs.
Interestingly, India has a connection with Claude Ashton. He was born in Kolkata (then Calcutta), India, in 1901 and later moved to England.
Ashton, although he played four games, scored all of his four Community Shield goals in the 1925 match for FA Amateurs XI against FA Professionals XI.

Frank Macey, a center-forward for the FA Amateurs XI, scored four goals in three appearances.
In his first Community Shield match in 1923 for Amateurs XI, he suffered defeat. However, in the 1925 and 1926 Community Shield matches, he scored braces in both games to help Amateurs win the title.
