Speaking on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra expressed disappointment over how certain individuals continue to demean women cricketers despite their growing success. He criticized users who circulated memes and comments suggesting women belong in the kitchen rather than on the field, calling it a “shameful mindset” that undermines years of hard work and progress.
Chopra emphasized that the Indian women’s team’s victory was not just a sporting achievement but a reflection of their determination, discipline, and evolution. He urged fans to focus on their talent and contribution instead of indulging in regressive behavior.
The 46-year-old also highlighted the importance of supporting women’s cricket as it continues to grow in popularity and competitiveness. Chopra’s comments struck a chord across the cricketing community, with fans and fellow players appreciating his stance.

"One falls short of words at times. I have a question for the keyboard warriors. When we lost against England, I had put a tweet that it was heartbreaking, and actually the heart broke that day. That day, below that post, I saw many comments, which included memes and images where they were showing our Indian girls in the kitchen, saying that's their job," Chopra said.
