South Africa's skipper Aiden Markram have revealed the real reason behind the team's loss in the third T20I match against India on December 14. After a spectacular show in the second game, the fans expected some firewords from South Africa in the previous game.

On the contrary, they were bowled out for just 117 runs, thanks to a stunning bowling performance by Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Kuldeep Yadav. Together, they claimed eight wickets in the game, helping India take a lead, 2-1, in the series. Markram, in the post-match press conference, spoke about how well the bowlers bowled and they deserve credit for their outstanding performance.

"They got the ball in the right areas and before you know it, you're four, five, six down. For sure Arshdeep bowled really well. Both the new ball bowlers bowled really well. You can have friendly conditions, but ultimately the bowlers still have to land the ball in the right areas and that's exactly what they did. You have to give credit to them for that. From ball number one, they were straight on it and made life really difficult. You have to give a lot of credit to them for that," said Aiden Markram at the post-match press conference.

It's a tricky balance: Aiden Markram

South Africa captain Aidem Markram spoke about how the low scoring matches can be interesting to watch as they can be the real nail-biters. In case of the 3rd T20I, India did lose three wickets and the game went upto the 16th over even though they were scoring just 118 runs. The star batters lost their wickets including the captain Suryakumar Yadav and the vice-captain, Shubman Gill.

"Yeah, it's a tough one. You've got your captain's cap on, you're always a fan of it because I feel like you're always in the game. If you've got your batting cap on, you're obviously one flat wicket."

"It's a tricky balance. The conditions were tough with the time of year and the cold playing a role, but I don't really see a problem with it. Low-scoring games can be great to watch and real nail-biters, there's a time and a place for everything," he added.
