For Arsenal, after playing the second half of their win over AC Milan on Wednesday, Martin Zubimendi made his first start for the Gunners following his summer transfer. Myles Lewis-Skelly replaced Oleksandr Zinchenko at left back, while Leandro Trossard came in for Gabriel Martinelli.
