Punjab Kings have received a major boost ahead of IPL 2026 as Australian all-rounders Marcus Stoinis and Cooper Connolly joined the squad in Mohali, strengthening their lineup.

The Punjab Kings (PBKS) have shared a welcome video of star players Marcus Stoinis and Cooper Connolly has they have joined the squad ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Wednesday, March 25. They are an integral part of the squad and will be looking forward to having a great time together.
PBKS were the runners-up in the previous edition so they will definitely enter the tournament with a lot of confidence. While speaking about the team, captain Shreyas Iyer stated that ‘his eyes are on the trophy’. If you know Iyer, you know how hard-working and strong will player he is and hence, it will be intriguing to watch PBKS in this season. They recently had a team jersey revealing event where captain spoke about the expectations and challenges that are lying ahead.
"Expectations are high, which is fun. I love the challenge. But the important thing is that whenever we step in, we have to win. My eye is on the trophy," said Shreyas Iyer, speaking at the team’s jersey unveiling event.
If we look at the PBKS squad, Shreyas Iyer plays a huge role in handling the team. Last season, they qualified for the finals after a decade and that speaks highly about Iyer’s captaincy. Apart from him, players like Prabhsimran Singh, Shashank Singh, Nehal Wadhera, and Arshdeep Singh are some of the names who have performed in the last few seasons.
This time, the Kings have all-rounders like Marco Jansen, Marcus Stoinis, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Musheer Khan, who have a good record in the T20s. Lastly, in the bowling front, PBKS have Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, and others who will have a lot of expectations on them.
