Just a day away from the iconic BWF Thomas and Uber Cup Finals, all is set to take place in Chengdu, People's Republic of China, from April 27 to May 5. This year, 32 of the greatest badminton teams in the world will compete for the world championships in both the men's and women's categories.

India and the Republic of Korea are the respective defending champions in the men's and women's team categories. BWF TV will be the tournament's official broadcaster, and the badminton matches of the Thomas and Uber Cup 2024 will be available to stream on the BWF's YouTube channel.

About the tournament:

Momota Kento, the previous men's world champion, will not be competing internationally after this competition. With effect from the end of the Thomas Cup, the Japanese shuttler has declared his retirement from competitive badminton.

As the four teams with the highest seeds in the competition, China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and Thailand appear to have the strongest prospects.
