Asheer gives NEUFC the lead

A chaotic scramble erupted inside the penalty area from the corner in the 30th minute of the match, as the Diamond Harbour defenders struggled to clear the danger.

Amidst the frantic tussle, a powerful shot was launched from close range, striking the crowded box with intensity.

From the corner, Aladiene Ajarie’s attempt was blocked, but Luka Majcen could not clear the ball well, and Radeem Talanag’s shot went straight to Mirshad.

But the former NEUFC goalkeeper could not hold on to the ball clearly, and Asheer Akhter was at the right place at the right time to score the tap-in and give the defending champions a crucial lead in the first half.

Parthiv extended the lead

At the stroke of half-time, Parthiv Gogoi found the net with a powerful riht-footed shot from the left of the box after he found a good pass from Ajaraie in the middle of the field.

Parthiv then made a good run and went deep before hitting the back of the net to extend the lead for NEUFC.
