The high-stakes encounter between India and England in the semi-finals of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 is all set to take place on March 5 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Ahead of the clash, CSK's former batter Subhramaniam Badrinath as opened up the risk factors for India and how they should be careful of three star English players.
Badrinath mentioned that Harry Brook, Jofra Archer, and Adil Rashid will be quite dangerous in the upcoming clash. They might get help in Mumbai and if the Indian players failed to play spin or slow ball, they will be in danger.
"I feel three England players can be a threat to India. One is Harry Brook, he is batting really well. In the bowling, two players. One is Jofra Archer. There will be some extra bounce at the Wankhede, and one more is Adil Rashid. He is bowling very slow and that will be a challenge for Indian batters, they will have to use their feet," said Badrinath on 'Cric It with Badri'.
Badrinath also opened about the pitch conditions and what the team should do if they win the toss. It will be a crucial factor in the game such as the semi-finals. India should be able to chase or set target since they have a good batting line up. Since they chased down 196 runs a few days back, that shouldn't be an issue for them.
"You should definitely bowl first at the Wankhede if you win the toss. There is no doubt in that. Even if England get 200, I fancy India to get it. You don't know how much is really enough if you have to set a score. I think it will become tricky, so I would look to chase. The toss will be very crucial," he added.
