Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has emerged to be one of the most successful captains in the history of Indian cricket. He recently led the team to win its third ICC Champions Trophy title in Dubai. Under his leadership, it was India's second consecutive ICC tournament win after the 2024 T20I World Cup.

Apart from international cricket, Rohit Sharma has also been one of the successful captains in the Indian Premier League. He has led the Mumbai Indians franchise to win 5 IPL trophies. With his style and performance, Rohit Sharma has garnered millions of fans around the world who adore him.

On that note, let's meet one of the biggest female fans of Rohit Sharma, who has been following the cricketer right from the beginning of his international career.

Raveena Solomon, a young IT professional, is an ardent Hitman fan who never misses a chance to watch Rohit Sharma bat. Hailing from Kanpur, UP, Raveena's love for cricket developed during childhood when her father used to take her to the Green Park Stadium to watch matches. We got the chance to have one-on-one interaction with her, where we asked her tough questions related to Rohit Sharma and her experience being a fan of him.

1. How long have you been a fan of Rohit Sharma?

I have been a fan of Rohit right from his debut year, 2007. It was Future Cup when I noticed a young man making his way into the team. However, it was the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup, where he played a couple of match-defining innings. That was the moment I started following him.

2. What's your favourite cricket format to watch Rohit Sharma bat?

I cherish watching him bat in every format of cricket, but the favourite one to watch him bat is ODIs. Considering the fact that he dominates this format, it is just amazing. If you see his performance in the past 5-6 years, it has been phenomenal. His attacking style during the early part of innings is something that makes him special.

3. Do you know Rohit Sharma's highest score in ODI cricket?

Yes, definitely, it's 264, where he thrashed the Sri Lankan bowling lineup. However, the only regret I have is not watching it live due to sports competition in the college. When Rohit played this innings, I got to know about it from the people around me who were wishing and congratulating for it. It was really a special moment for me as a fan.

4. Describe Rohit Sharma in three words.

Well, as the cricket fans are well aware of his batting style. He just has ample time to play the cricketing shots regardless of the bowler he is facing. So the three words to describe him would be "Bohot Time Hai.".

5. How did you react when Rohit Sharma retired from T20Is?

It was an emotional moment for me to see my favourite cricketer retiring from T20Is. It's the same format from which I started following him back in 2007. But regardless of whether he plays or not, I'm going to follow him, and he'll always be a part of my life.

6. Apart from Rohit Sharma, which Indian cricketer do you like?

Apart from the Hitman, I love watching Jasprit Bumrah. He is an impactful player who has changed the landscape of Indian bowling. He is one of the primary reasons for me to stick to the TV set and watch him bowl excellent deliveries.

7. Imagine you're writing a book on Rohit Sharma; what title would you like to give it?

It would be a fun title made around the unique ability to forget things. So, the title would be 'Ye banne ke liye bhot vo chahiye.'.

8. What's your favourite Rohit Sharma moment ever?

So my favourite Rohit Sharma moment was during the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup hosted in India. I watched all of India's matches with the 'I love Rohit' banner. I was really hoping Rohit Sharma would notice that, but it didn't happen. However, during the India vs South Africa match at the Eden Gardens, the cameraman showed me the banner when Rohit Sharma scored a boundary on the big screen.

9. According to you, which Rohit Sharma innings stands out from the rest?

It's actually the two innings; one is from IPL 2009 when he used to play for Deccan Chargers. In a match against KKR, Rohit smashed 26 runs in the final over and won the match. The second one would be from the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup, when he scored 140 runs and dethroned the Pakistani bowling attack. Personally, it felt like a revenge for the 2017 Champions Trophy final loss.
