FC Goa dominates recent encounters, riding a six-match winning streak against East Bengal.
Their last non-ISL meeting saw East Bengal triumph 1-0 in the 2018 Super Cup semis.
Notably, East Bengal has never beaten Goa at Fatorda, adding extra spice to this venue.

East Bengal advanced with a convincing 3-1 semi-final win over Punjab FC, showcasing set-piece prowess.
Kevin Sibille headed in before halftime, and captain Saul Crespo sealed it with a composed finish in the 71st minute after Miguel Ferreira's assist, highlighting their defensive solidity under coach Oscar Bruzon.
FC Goa, the 2025 champions, edged Mumbai City FC 2-1 in the semis. Brison Fernandes struck early in the 20th minute, followed by David Timor's long-range rocket three minutes later.
“First of all, it is a moment of pride for East Bengal Club, players and our supporters. A couple of months ago, we lost the Durand Cup semi-final and later the IFA Shield final. Now this is the time. We are here to compete and fight for the cup," said Bino George, assistant coach of East Bengal FC.
“This is very important for us. We are in a good moment. Inside the dressing room, we know the importance of the tournament for the club and us as players. So we're going to try to give everything. We have been working very well in the last weeks, and I think we are ready to compete and try to get the trophy,” Saul Crespo told the media.
"The excitement is always there when you play a final. It doesn’t matter if it’s twice or seven times. It’s a final, and both teams will have the same excitement. In fact, we are the last two teams to win this trophy. I think it will be a good final,” said Manolo Márquez, the head coach of FC Goa.
