The FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar is all set to begin on November 20 and fans are eagerly waiting for the football event to begin. With stars, all set to perform at the opening ceremony - ARMY - fans of Bangtan Sonyeondan aka BTS are more than eager to see the boy group's youngest Jungkook perform.

The 'maknae' of the group has flown down to Qatar to be a part of the FIFA World Cup 2022 opening ceremony. The vocalist will be performing the official soundtrack 'Dreamers' according to a statement released by the label, BigHit MUSIC. 

The opening ceremony will also see Nora Fatehi and Nicki Minaj among other performers.

"We’d like to inform you about BTS Jung Kook’s participation in the opening ceremony of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. At the opening ceremony of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Jung Kook will be performing the official soundtrack Dreamers."

Indian ARMY can watch the performance live on November 20, 2022, at 9 PM IST. The opening ceremony will be held at Al Bayt Stadium in Doha, Qatar.

This year, BTS garnered three nominations at the Grammys 2023 —their fifth time overall — following the news of required military service and solo album talks. 

The band has been nominated for Best Pop Duo, Best Music Video, and Best Album for their song "My Universe", which they co-wrote with Coldplay. 

The band also made history for K-Pop by receiving multiple Grammy nominations for the first time. They've been nominated for the Grammys for the third year in a row.

The group have received its first nomination for 'Dynamite' in 2020, followed by 'Butter' in 2021.
