According to ESPN reports, Las Vegas is set to host the FIFA World Cup 2026 draw on December 5, 2025. This marks the second time Las Vegas will host the draw since 1994 for the 48-team tournament.

Who were the other cities as an option?

Many other reports suggested that cities from Mexico and Canada, which are also the hosts of the biggest football event in the World, were thought of as an option to host the draw. However, finally, Las Vegas was chosen as the final one to host the FIFA World Cup 2026 draw.

In the 1994 FIFA Club World Cup, Las Vegas was also chosen as the host of the official draw. It was the last time the World Cup was played between 24 teams. After that, the tournament was expanded to a 32-team event.
