FIH Hockey World Cup 2023: Team India schedule, venue, fixtures and all you need to know

The FIH Hockey World Cup will be held in India in 2023. The games will take place in India's Rourkela and Bhubneshwar. The tournament, which begins on January 13 and runs through January 29, will be hosted by the International Hockey Federation.

About the tournament:

 The hockey tournament is staged every four years, with the most recent taking place in 2018. By defeating the Netherlands, Belgium eventually managed to win the title in 2018.

Pakistan has won the Hockey World Cup four times, making them one of the most successful teams.

Which countries are participating? 16 nations have been divided into four pools:

Pool A: Argentina, Australia, France, and South Africa

Pool B: Belgium, Germany, Korea, and Japan

Pool C: Netherlands, New Zealand, Malaysia, and Chile

Pool D: Wales, England, Spain, and India

Team India match venue and schedule:

India vs Spain: 7:00 PM IST on 13 January 2023 (Friday) at Rourkela, India

England vs India: 7:00 PM IST on 15 January 2023 (Sunday) at Rourkela, India

India vs Wales: 7:00 PM IST on 19 January 2023 (Thursday) at Bhubaneswar, India

FIH Hockey World Cup 2023 tickets:

Both physical and online tickets will be made available for the FIH Hockey World Cup in 2023. Fans can purchase tickets for their preferred teams' games online or in person. 

While non-India match days tickets range in price from Rs 100 to Rs 500, those for India match days cost between Rs 200 and Rs 500. A spectator may watch the entire day's events at a venue with each ticket.
