Fresh off securing the Premier League title, Liverpool is showing no signs of resting on its laurels, with a summer spending spree that has already exceeded £295 million and is set to continue. Having already secured a quartet of high-profile signings, the club is now aggressively pursuing a move for PSG's Bradley Barcola, after facing difficulties in signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.

Liverpool's transfer window has been assertive, breaking the British transfer record to sign German playmaker Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of €125.00m. The Reds also raided the Bundesliga for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike in a deal worth up to £79 million.
To bolster the defense, Liverpool brought in left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth for £40 million and right-back Jeremie Frimpong, another talent from Bayer Leverkusen, for £29.5 million.

Despite this significant expenditure, the club's ambitions in the transfer market are far from complete. Liverpool's primary target for the attack was Newcastle United's Alexander Isak. The Reds reportedly saw a substantial bid of around £110 million rejected by the Magpies, who are holding out for a fee in the region of £150 million.
Isak is said to be keen on a move to Anfield and has grown frustrated with his situation at Newcastle, even training alone while his future is resolved.
However, Newcastle's unwillingness to sell without securing a replacement has complicated the potential deal.

This dilemma has led Liverpool to explore other elite attacking options. One name prominently linked is Paris Saint-Germain's winger Bradley Barcola. Liverpool has had a long-standing interest in the 22-year-old French international since last season.
While PSG is not actively looking to sell the winger they signed for €50 million, a bid of over €100 million could test their perseverance. However, as per some reports, the Champions League winners view him as "untransferable".
Another high-profile alternative under consideration is Real Madrid's Brazilian forward, Rodrygo. The 24-year-old's future at Real Madrid has become uncertain following the arrival of Kylian Mbappe last season. Reports suggest Liverpool have already made contact with Rodrygo's representatives. But any potential deal would be challenging due to the financial demands and likely competition from other top clubs.
