It’s day 3 of the French Open 2024 in Roland Garros; 20 first round matches, including that of defending champion Novak Djokovic are yet to be played. But based on the results so far, a tentative lineup for Round 2 has begun to emerge. 14-time champion Rafael Nadal lost his first-round encounter to Alexander Zverev, in a match that is widely considered his last at the clay court Grand Slam. Nadal has not ruled out a comeback next year, but for now, his return to Roland Garros will be for the 2024 Olympics.

The third-round matches will be played on May 31, fourth round on June 2, Quarter-finals on June 4, Semi-finals on June 7 and Final on June 9. In India, the broadcast partner of the French Open 2024 is Sony Sports, with live streaming of matches available on Sony LIV.

In the women’s draw, meanwhile, hot favourite to win a fourth title at Roland Garros, Iga Swiatek began her campaign well, as did Coco Gauff. Last year’s semi-finalist Beatriz Haddad Maia had an early exit from the tournament, as also Ekaterina Alexandrova.
