The Indian cricket team's schedule for the next two years is packed with exciting ODI series, and Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are set to lead the charge. As per India's schedule, they will play a series against New Zealand in January 2026. Next, they'll will also play host to Afghanistan in June 2026, before heading to England for a series in July 2026. 

The team will then return home to face West Indies in September-October 2026, followed by a series against New Zealand in October-November 2026, and finally, a home series against Sri Lanka in December 2026.

Here's a rundown of the series they will play before the 2027 ODI World Cup:

  • November–December 2025: South Africa (Home) – 3 ODIs
  • January 2026: New Zealand (Home) – 3 ODIs
  • June 2026: Afghanistan (Home) – 3 ODIs
  • July 2026: England (Away) – 3 ODIs
  • September–October 2026: West Indies (Home) – 3 ODIs
  • October–November 2026: New Zealand (Away) – 3 ODIs
  • December 2026: Sri Lanka (Home) – 3 ODIs
  • These series will provide Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli with ample opportunities to fine-tune their skills and prepare for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2027. The Indian team will be looking to gain momentum and build a strong squad ahead of the marquee event.
