The group and Super Six stage is done and dusted and the top four teams to reach the semi-finals of the ICC U19 World Cup 2024 are India, Australia, South Africa and Pakistan. Over 23 days, the tournament saw the capabilities of 16 teams with a total of 45 thrilling matches being played. India, with a rich history in the competition, stands as the most successful team, boasting five U19 World Cup titles.

Teams were grouped into two Super Six groups, each consisting of six contenders who were battling it out for the race to the semi-finals. Four teams out of the 12 have now advanced to the semi-finals. Let’s have a look at all four teams and their journey to the Top 4.

India U19:

One of the most dominant teams in the U19 World Cup 2024 is undoubtedly the Boys in Blue. They have exhibited their dominance and skills throughout the tournament. In Group A, Team India won all three matches convincingly, resulting in a very healthy Net Run Rate (NRR). Their victories against Bangladesh (by 84 runs), Ireland (by 201 runs), and the United States (by 201 runs) demonstrated the strength and depth of the squad.

During the Super Six stage, India extended their winning streak as in the first match against New Zealand in Group 1, they emerged victorious by 214 runs. They continued their winning momentum against Nepal in the second game, securing a win by 132 runs. Finishing as table-toppers in Group A and maintaining an unbeaten record in Super Six Group 1, India's path to the semifinals came as no surprise.

Moving into the Super Six stage, Australia faced England in Group 2 and secured a convincing victory by 110 runs (2nd innings reduced to 24 overs due to rain, DLS target 215). Their match against West Indies ended with no result, but with seven points secured, they advanced to the semi-finals.

South Africa U19:

The Proteas made their mark in the tournament with resilience and determination in Group B, despite facing challenging encounters. They secured a 31-run victory against West Indies but faced a setback against England, losing by 36 runs (by the DLS method). However, they bounced back with a convincing 7-wicket win against Scotland.
