The Indian men's cricket team is gearing up for the first T20 International (T20I) against Australia as part of their ongoing tour Down Under. The match is scheduled to be played on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.

Surya and Gambhir get into an intense discussion

The Indian cricket team recently shared vibrant pictures from their first training session ahead of the match. The photos depict the players in full preparation mode at their training venue in Canberra, with scenes showing intense practice sessions.

Coach Gautam Gambhir and T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav were seen having an intense discussion while ICC No.1 T20I batter Abhishek Sharma was seen bashing the bowlers at the nets.

Kuldeep Yadav, who did not play a single game in the ODI series, was seen in action as well. Nitish Kumar Reddy, who was injured in the ODI series, was seen in the training as well. Along with him, Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Sanju Samson, Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarty, who were not part of the ODI squad, were visible preparing hard for the first T20I of the series.

India's squad for the T20 series is led by captain Suryakumar Yadav, with Shubman Gill serving as vice-captain. The squad features some of the finest T20 talents including explosive opener Abhishek Sharma, talented youngsters like Tilak Varma and Nitish Kumar Reddy, and experienced campaigners such as Jasprit Bumrah and Washington Sundar.
