In the 1st Super Over, after the Afghan side posted 16 runs and lost a wicket, Gulbadin Naib was run out by Virat Kohli and Sanju Samson due to miscommunication with Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Mohammad Nabi and Gurbaz scored 16 runs.

In the 2nd Super Over, Rohit Sharma came in and smashed a six on the first ball and then a four before they took a run, and his partner Rinku Singh got out. Later, Sanju Samson came in, but he could not score and was run out, and India ended up with just 11 runs.

As for Afghanistan, Gurbaz came in again along with Mohammad Nabi, and Ravi Bishnoi was given the bowling responsibility. He did the job by getting the wicket of the main man Nabi on the very first ball.
