Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube, the youthful duo from Team India, showcased ease in their gameplay as they guided the Men in Blue to a convincing 6-wicket victory against Afghanistan in the 2nd T20I at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. This triumph, which came in 15.4 overs, also sealed the three-match T20I series 2-0 in favour of the host nation.

Despite the early setback of losing skipper Rohit Sharma for a duck while chasing 173, the Indian team maintained composure throughout the innings. Virat Kohli's aggressive play contributed a brisk 29 before falling to Naveen-ul-Haq.

Yashasvi Jaiswal showcased consistency, reaching a fifty in 27 balls, while Shivam Dube, at the other end, displayed dominance by hitting three consecutive sixes off Mohammad Nabi in an over. Dube's quick 22-ball fifty and his presence till the end ensured India crossed the finish line.

Although Karim Janat claimed two wickets in his opening over, and Naveen-ul-Haq and Fazalhaq Farooqi took one each, the damage inflicted was not significant for Team India.

In the earlier part of the game, after being asked to bat first, Afghanistan set their highest T20I score against India, posting 172 runs. Despite a strong start from the openers, Ravi Bishnoi broke the partnership. Gulbadin Naib, batting at number 3, counter-attacked with a powerful innings of 57, featuring 5 fours and 4 sixes. However, Axar Patel's reintroduction into the attack proved pivotal for India.

The visitors received a late push from Mujeeb Ur Rahman (21), contributing to their final score. Axar Patel and Bishnoi claimed two wickets each for India, while Arshdeep Singh, initially wicketless, secured three wickets in the death overs, concluding with figures of 3/32.
