After tedious two days of the 4th Test between India and Australia, a rather hilarious incident took place after a spectator sitting right next to the sight screen found the missing ball which was hit for a six by Shubman Gill.
In the Ahmedabad Test during the second delivery of the tenth over of India's batting innings, Gill launched Aussie off-spinner Nathan Lyon down the ground for a six. The ball went on and got lost for a moment behind the sight screen.
While the game was put on pause for a while, the spectator jumped in and retrieved it. Not just that, he made sure to show all the sheer delight of grabbing the match ball. He raised both his arms in joy and then tossed the ball back to the ground.
As for the clash, India was made to toil for almost two days as Australia went on post 480 runs. The Men in Blue ended Day 2 at the score of 36 as skipper Rohit Sharma and Gill looked unflustered as the wicket continued to favour the batters.
Earlier, Usman Khawaja scored 180 while Cameron Green racked up a ton to keep Australia in the lead. Spinner R Ashwin took a 6-fer but that only mitigated a part of the damage.
