In the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 clash between India and England, the English batting lineup crumbled while chasing India's modest total of 229 runs. As wickets kept falling, the Indian team celebrated with great enthusiasm. One moment that stood out was Virat Kohli rushing towards captain Rohit Sharma, offering high-fives, a warm hug, and even lifting him in the air in jubilation.

Mohammed Shami, the man with a golden arm, secured his third wicket of the day. He charged in from around the wicket, delivering a full ball around off. Moeen Ali attempted a drive with minimal foot movement, resulting in an outside edge that was safely caught by wicketkeeper KL Rahul, who tossed the ball in the air.

Netizens, just like Kohli and Rohit, took to social media, particularly X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their excitement.

As of the time of writing this article, 27 overs had been bowled, and England had managed to score only 98 runs while losing seven wickets. They need 132 more runs to secure their second victory in the tournament.

If India wins this match, they will earn the coveted "Q" next to their name, signifying their qualification for the semi-finals of the ODI World Cup 2023.

India, after being asked to bat first, posted a total of 229 on the board while losing 9 wickets in the process. Significant contributions from Rohit Sharma (87), Suryakumar Yadav (49), KL Rahul (39), and Jasprit Bumrah (16) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, helped India reach a respectable score.
