Three Indians - Arshdeep Singh, Renuka Singh, and Yastika Bhatia - on Wednesday have been nominated for the ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year honors. Voting for the award will begin in January, ICC said in the release.

India left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh is nominated alongside left-arm quick Marco Jansen from South Africa, New Zealand opener Finn Allen and Afghanistan batter Ibrahim Zadran.

The Indian bowler has made the short-list less than six months after making his international debut. In 21 T20 Internationals, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) pacer has taken 33 wickets at an average of 18.12.

In the women's category, pace bowler Renuka Singh and batter Yastika Bhatia are nominated alongside Australia's Darcie Brown and England's Alice Capsey.

Another Indian pacer in the nominations is Renuka Singh who has claimed 40 wickets this year in just 29 matches across the two white-ball formats. The right-arm bowler in ODIs claimed 18 wickets at an average of 14.88. In the Commonwealth Games and the Asia Cup in Dhaka, she took 17 wickets in 11 games.

As for Yastika Bhatia, she excelled as India's middle order batter. Prior to the 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, she amassed scores of 41 and 31, then added half-centuries against Australia and Bangladesh. The 22-year-old had a strike rate of 73.29 and amassed 376 ODI runs at an average of 25.06.
