IPL 2023: Gautam Gambhir's 'sensational' tweet about Rinku Singh melts internet's hearts

By defeating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by just a run at Eden Gardens on Saturday, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) managed to advance to the Playoffs. However, Rinku Singh did give them a scare and almost took the gave away from them. 

The KKR star was praised by everyone, including the captain of the opposing team, for almost doing the seemingly impossible. 

Even former KKR captain and now LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir posted a "sensational" tweet for the batter which has melted the hearts of cricket fans.

Rinku had smashed 474 runs with four fifties at a stunning strike rate of 149.53. 305 of all the matches he played this year. In fact, all his half-century knocks came in a chasing cause.

It was a smashing performance against LSG as well. The KKR middle order was choked by LSG spinner but Rinku single-handedly almost chased down 177 at home with yet another fifty. 

After the game, Gambhir spoke with Rinku and uploaded a photo of the two of them on Twitter, where he praised the KKR player. He wrote: "What an effort by Rinku today! Sensational talent!"

"Feels like all 14 matches, I've spoken about Rinku. I am personally very happy for him (Rinku) and I don't really have words to describe him because the entire world has seen what he can do on a cricket field," said KKR captain Nitish Rana when asked to pick the positives from the season.

"Rinku has been special this year, every game when he's there you can't take it easy. Today he showed it again, but it is a high-pressure situation while bowling death overs to execute our plans," added LSG skipper Krunal Pandya.
