The 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) season is featuring one of the most challenging playoff races ever. By winning their respective matches on Super Sunday, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have revived their chances of making the playoffs.

With 12 points from as many games, Royal Challengers (RC) have jumped up to fifth place after crushing Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 112 runs. In fact, this triumph by such a wide margin helped them improve their negative Net Run Rate (NNR).

With regard to the Knight Riders, their 7-wicket victory over the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has hurt MS Dhoni and the company's chances of making the playoffs.

In the meantime, if Gujarat Titans (GT) defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday, they would become the first team to formally qualify for the playoffs. Only the Delhi Capitals (DC) have been declared eliminated.
