In 2023, the Rajasthan Royals finished in the 5th spot on the points table, winning 7 games and losing as many out of the 14 league matches played. For the new season, they will continue with Sanju Samson as their captain.

The side became the first team to win the IPL in 2008 - at its inception - but they haven't lifted the trophy since. They did make an appearance in the final in 2022 but lost to the Gujarat Titans (GT).

The side has undergone several changes in the squad, including acquiring Avesh Khan from the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The Royals have also added the all-round power of Rovman Powell and the promising batting talent of Shubham Dubey to the squad.

However, the team already boasts in-form players like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel. Nonetheless, they will be affected by the injury of Prasidh Krishna, who has been ruled out of the 2024 edition with an injury.
