Team India's star batter Virat Kohli announced retirement from Test cricket on May 12. It came as a massive shocker for the cricket fans around the world, as they were expecting the player to be a part of India's lineup for the upcoming England tour.

A few days back, India's skipper Rohit Sharma too bid adieu to the Test format. Both the players will now only play the ODI format for the country. Apart from ODIs, Rohit and Virat will likely continue to play in the IPL for their respective franchises.

Virat Kohli represented Team India in 123 Test matches, scoring 9230 runs at an average of 46.85 with 30 centuries to his name. The player's Test career started off in June 2011 against West Indies at Sabina Park. Virat is currently playing in the IPL 2025, which has been shortly paused due to the border conflict between India and Pakistan.

The IPL 2025 will resume on May 17 with the clash between RCB and KKR at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB fans are planning something special for their beloved Virat Kohli to honour his legacy during the match.

RCB fans urge spectators to wear white for upcoming RCB vs KKR IPL 2025 clash

Virat Kohli has been regarded as one of the successful Test captains and batters. In order to pay him respect for his contribution, RCB fans are expected to fill M Chinnaswamy Stadium with whites. Fans have circulated a message for the spectators who would come to watch the RCB vs KKR match on May 17.

The message reads, "For the next RCB match, could you help spread the word and encourage fans to wear Test whites in the stadium as a tribute to Virat Kohli? He made so many of us fall in love with Test cricket, and even though I'll never get to see him play in whites live, I just want him to know how deeply loved he was in his favourite format."

The heartwarming message further stated, "This gesture could be a powerful way to show that his legacy goes far beyond stats – it lives in the hearts of fans. Please think about it and help us make it real. It would mean the world to many of us. I even made a template. I also think we can raise funds to give away the jerseys outside Chinnaswamy. That's our best chance. Even if not jerseys, plaine T-shirts should do.
