They also acquired Sri Lankan fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana for ₹18 crore. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru signed Venkatesh Iyer for ₹7 crore, while the Rajasthan Royals nabbed Ravi Bishnoi for ₹7.20 crore.

The auction's early fireworks saw Green spark a bidding frenzy among Mumbai Indians, KKR, and Chennai Super Kings. MI kicked off the chase, but KKR and CSK propelled the price beyond ₹16 crore before CSK retreated, handing KKR the prize asset at 25.20 cr.
The 26-year-old's explosive batting, seam bowling, and middle-order muscle make him a cornerstone for the 2024 Champions.
Pathirana's sale was equally electric. Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants drove bids past ₹9 crore, with DC pushing to ₹15.8 crore. KKR's late entry at ₹16 crore drew arena laughs, but they clinched the deal at ₹18 crore after LSG bowed out, the second-biggest buy of the day.
RCB addressed middle-order voids by outbidding LSG, Gujarat Titans, and KKR for Venkatesh Iyer at ₹7 crore. The ex-KKR star's power-hitting and left-arm spin thrilled RCB fans.
RR joined the party, fending off CSK and Sunrisers Hyderabad to grab leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi at ₹7.20 crore, adding mystery spin to their arsenal.
Lucknow Super Giants were proactive, signing Wanindu Hasaranga and South African quick Anrich Nortje (₹2 crore base price). Delhi Capitals smartly added opener Ben Duckett (₹2 crore), finisher David Miller (₹2 crore base), and now CSK's Akeal Hosein (₹2 crore), building depth economically.
Mumbai Indians reunited with Quinton de Kock at ₹1 crore base, while KKR grabbed Kiwi keeper-batter Finn Allen. RCB also picked Jacob Duffy at ₹2 crore.
