The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has now secured support from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to host the Asia Cup, saving India the trip to Pakistan. The two sub-continental nations have given support to the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI), according to a report on Geo. tv.

Now with all this happening, will the Asia Cup 2023 be shifted out of Pakistan? If yes, who will host the tournament?

It has been learnt that the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Najam Sethi, has flown to Dubai to meet officials from the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and International Cricket Council (ICC).

According to a report of PTI, Najam Sethi is expected to request a written guarantee from Jay Shah regarding the Indian team's participation in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan before committing to the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in India.

Najam Sethi had already said that if India does not come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, the chances of Pakistan playing the ODI World Cup in India will be very low.

As for the 16th edition of the Asia Cup, it is supposed to be played in Pakistan in September this year while the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 is being hosted by India from October 5.

The cricketing world will now wait for the outcome of Sethi's meeting with the ACC and ICC officials which will clear the stance of the two countries participating in the upcoming two events.
